We provide life-changing opportunities to young Indians of exceptional talent, character, and motivation. By seeking out and nurturing such talent, we aim for each personal achievement to benefit the individual and the wider world.

Since 1976, over 1400 talented young Indians have received, Scholarships, Awards, Fellowships, Art Residencies, Internships, and Grants across a wide range of subjects and endeavours, overseas and in India.

Our alumni reflect the diversity of individuals that we have supported over five decades. Today, many are leaders in their chosen fields.

50 Years of Inlaks - 1976 to 2026

The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation is completing 50 years in 2026. To mark this milestone, several events are planned across the year to celebrate what lies at the core of the Foundation - its alumni.

Our Story

Indoo Shivdasani

Indoo Shivdasani (1918–1979), a successful entrepreneur, credited his Cambridge education with broadening his commercial and cultural horizons. He had a strong desire to give others a similar opportunity. A firm believer in the importance of overseas higher education for young Indians. He saw this as a way to foster their talent and develop their capacity to contribute to society.
