Inlaks FTII Award
INLAKS AWARDS FOR FILM AND TELEVISION STUDIES
The Foundation has had a long tradition of supporting young and
talented individuals in the area of Fine Arts. It is in April 2007 that the
Foundation initiated another series of awards – Inlaks Awards for Film and
Television Studies – in India. The awards have been set up at the Film and
Television Institute at Pune.
The awardees are selected through a two-tier selection process.
Applications for the awards are invited from the students. The applications are
short –listed by a committee of teachers from the Film and Television Institute
of India. The short-listed candidates are invited for an interview. The Director
of the Institute, staff members of the Institute and a representative of the
Foundation constitute the committee.
The Awards have evolved over the years and at present the
committee announces one annual award for each of the following categories (of
Rs.1,00,000/-each).
- One year post graduate certificate course in TV
- One year post graduate course in feature film screenplay writing
- Two year post graduate course in acting
The 2010 awardees are :
- Tarun Wadhwa (Acting)
- Santosh Kumar Minawarapu (Screenplay Writing)
- Faisal Mohammed (TV)
The 2009 awardees are :
- Mujawar Niyaz Iqbal Ahmed (Screenplay Writing)
- Manish Gandhi (Acting)
- Faizal Ahamed (TV)
The 2008 awardees are :
- Parakh Chouhan (Screenplay Writing)
- Saharsh Kumar Shukla (Acting)
- Mahesh Kumar Manjhi (TV)
The awardees for 2007 were :
- Pitabhash Tripathy for Acting
- Jagdish Parmar for Script-writing
