Inlaks-Attakkalari Dance Studentship

Attakkalari and Inlaks seek to synergise their respective strengths and resources to focus on supporting an initiative that advances a common goal — providing internationally reputed training opportunities to talented and deserving youth who might otherwise be unable to afford it. Under this initiative, talented performing artists — particularly dance and movement artists— who wish to get comprehensive professional training of international standards will win a rare opportunity to earn a qualification from Attakkalari. The studentship aims to provide crucial support to dance artists who are talented, passionate and committed but have to curtail their dream due to financial constraints.

Number of studentships available: This year, the Inlaks-Attakkalari Dance Studentship will be offered to TWO eligible candidates from India who are offered admission to the Attakkalari Diploma in Movement Arts and Pedagogy through the selection process.

Scope: The studentship will cover the Rs.2,00,000 tuition fees for the first-year program and provide a sum of Rs. 50,000 for the student to cover their apprenticeship expenses in the second year in Bangalore.
Eligibility: Potential candidates from India who clear the auditions for the Attakkalari Diploma in Movement Arts and Pedagogy can apply for the studentship. The applications will be scrutinised and assessed based on a predefined process.
